We were honored to be a a part of Make-A-Wish's Northeastern California and Northern Nevada chapter's "Wine & Wishes" gala at the Sacramento Convention Center. Make-A-Wish is an incredible organization, literally making wishes come true. From their website:
"Granting wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions gives them more than an amazing experience. A wish come true has the power to make kids feel stronger, more courageous, and more determined to overcome their illnesses. A combined 89 percent of doctors, nurses and health professionals surveyed say they believe a wish experience can influence wish kids' physical health."
We provided centerpieces for the cocktail and dining tables, arrangements for the stage and created 100 boutonnieres to be worn as well! We invite you to view some of the behind-the-scenes set-up for the event (photos by Carissa Marson), to the finished display (photos by Mark Brooks).
Our "Chief Floral Officer," Cathy Brooks, assembling the centerpieces on-site…
…with a little help from her friends.
The finished result, a very elegant table.
Eye catching and graphic are these black & white striped table linens. Our golden branch centerpiece with dripping crystals and white rosebuds grows out of a sea of clear wine glasses.
The room is ready. We love the look of the star lights projected on the ceiling.
A beautifully set table.
The elegant centerpieces in tall, clear, glass vases allowed guests to converse without anything obstructing their view.
The floral displays on each corner of the stage helped draw the attendees' eyes to the stage, where all the action is happening.
The bidding was intense!
We made 100 (yes 100) boutonnieres which consisted of willow eucalyptus greens painted gold with white dendrobium orchid blossoms. Don't they look great?
